Explorer for Mac Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-10-01 Last updated: 2026-10-01

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the macOS app Explorer for Mac (the “App”) and its paid upgrade Explorer Pro (“Pro”), provided by 나영재 (Youngjae Nah) (the “Operator”). By installing or using the App, or by purchasing Pro, you agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

  1. “User” means anyone who installs or uses the App.
  2. “Free version” means all features of the App available at no charge.
  3. “Pro” means the paid upgrade that unlocks additional features for a one-time payment.
  4. “License file” means the .explorerlicense file issued to a Pro purchaser, which the App verifies offline to enable Pro features.

2. Free version

  1. The free version may be used by anyone at no charge.
  2. The Operator will not move a feature that has already been offered for free behind the Pro upgrade. Pro only adds new features; it never takes anything away from the free version.

3. Purchasing Pro

  1. Pro is a one-time purchase with a perpetual license. It is not a subscription.
  2. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy’s buyer terms also apply to payment, taxes, and receipts.
  3. After purchase, you can download your license file from the activation page using your license key, and download it again at any time with the same key.
  4. Refunds are governed by the separate Refund Policy.

4. License scope

  1. A Pro license is granted to one individual — the purchaser — who may use it on any number of Macs they own or use.
  2. Both personal and work use are permitted. If several people use Pro, each person needs their own license.
  3. The license covers the Pro features available at the time of purchase and Pro updates for as long as the Operator provides them. The Operator is not obligated to provide updates forever, but Pro features already unlocked keep working in the version of the App you have.
  4. When a refund is completed, the license ends, and the User must remove it in the App under Settings ▸ Explorer Pro.

5. Prohibited conduct

Users must not:

  1. Share, sell, or distribute a license file or license key to others
  2. Circumvent or disable license verification, or create or distribute forged licenses
  3. Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App beyond what applicable law permits
  4. Use the App to infringe the rights of others or to violate applicable law

6. File operations and backups

  1. The App is a file manager that moves, copies, renames, deletes (moves to Trash), compresses, and synchronizes files. The Operator works to make these operations safe, but cannot guarantee data integrity in every environment (network drives, external disks, conflicts with other apps, and so on).
  2. Users should back up important data regularly. Please review the preview before running operations that change many files at once, such as folder sync, batch rename, or duplicate cleanup.

7. Limitation of liability

  1. The App is provided “as is.” The Operator does not warrant that it is fit for a particular purpose or free of errors.
  2. Except in cases of the Operator’s willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Operator is not liable for indirect or incidental damages, including data loss, arising from use of the App.
  3. To the extent permitted by law, the Operator’s total liability related to Pro is limited to the amount the User paid for Pro.
  4. This section does not limit consumer rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

8. Intellectual property

All intellectual property in the App — including its code, design, icons, and name — belongs to the Operator. The Operator claims no rights to the files Users manage with the App.

9. Privacy

The processing of personal information is governed by the separate Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to or discontinuation of the App

  1. The Operator may change the App, in whole or in part, or stop distributing it for operational or technical reasons.
  2. Even if distribution stops, installed copies of the App and unlocked Pro features keep working. License verification happens offline and does not depend on the Operator’s servers.

11. Changes to these Terms

  1. The Operator may change these Terms within the limits of applicable law.
  2. Changes will be announced on the website at least 7 days before they take effect (30 days for changes unfavorable to Users).
  3. Users who do not agree to the changed Terms may stop using the App.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute relating to these Terms shall be brought before the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
